What is Groove?
Groove is a dynamically interactive and creative group dance experience. With great music your facilitator will Unite everyone in a simple movement or rhythm but you get to dance it in your own Unique way, while exploring a variety of different styles and genres. You will experience everything from slow, delicious meditative grooves to heart thumping and strength building cardio beats. The perfect recipe to nurture your mind, body, heart and soul.
No fancy equipment, coordination or dance experience is required. Just come as you are!
What happens in a class:
1. Warm up
Gentle tracks to circulation and lubricate the joints.
2. Full on Groove
Generally a bit more high tempoed songs to get the heart pumping.
3. Cool Down
Softer and more gentle tracks to catch our breath and slowly preparing for stillness
4. Personal Song
A chance to take care of your needs, do whatever feels good in your body, stretch, dance, sit, grab water, etc.
A chance to be still and be with the energy created through moving your body in this delicious way.
What to bring:
Yoga mat/ cushions/ blankets for stillness
With classes being mostly vitual at the moment, a good internet connection, an external speaker if you have one and a device to connect in via Zoom.
